The clear plastic outer wrapper allows for whatever information you wish to add...a nice feature (especially if you use DVDs to back-up your computer?). These slim cases save a lot of room.

I have a Xbox 360 and I buy alot of games and this product makes it very quick and easy to switch out games. Plus with the on line software you can type a list of disks and it even keeps the list for you so that you can update it whenever you want. I highly recommend this product.

They are flexible and don't shatter like jewel cases.
You can see through them if your DVDs have labels or writing on them.
You can write directly on them with a Sharpie type pen so if you make your own home DVDs you don't have to write on the DVDs at all and risk what might happen long term with the pen ink chemicals interacting with the DVD layers.
And, they're designed not to damage the DVDs.
I've ordered lots of these. They're great!
