Taylor Classic Roast/Yeast Thermometer Review

(More customer reviews)I have used this Taylor thermometer for years and it is reliable, accurate and easy to use. You can use it in the oven while the meat, casserole, etc. is baking. Other thermometers have a glass insertion rod and can break. The stainless steel Taylor goes in without having to make a hole first with another utensil. For Christmas I gave these thermometers to all my children and my parents who could not find them. My husband cannot grill without this thermometer.

(More customer reviews)Give the Wabash people a call. They will ask you when you bought the popper and they will register your product. Then they will send you a brand new lid no questions asked. They will continue to do this for the next 25 years. I wish the entire gear system was made of metal, but with impeccable customer service like Wabash provides, I can overlook that.
As for the popper itself, the other reviews pretty much cover it. More fun and healthier than microwave popcorn and easier to store than a hot air job. I use 1/8 cup olive oil to 1/2 cup popcorn and don't even bother turning the gear until I hear the first kernel explode. I'm hoping this will save wear and tear for next time. I melt a tablespoon or two of butter over the top just 'cause I like the taste and add a little salt right in the kettle (be sure to use a potholder...it's hot!). Once the popcorn is gone, I fit the lid back on and stick it back under the cabinet. I don't even bother to wipe it out. Keeps it nice and seasoned!

(More customer reviews)I've used this popper for over 15 years. Now I'm buying them for friends. Note one small error in the product description--this popper pops 3 quarts of popcorn in UNDER 2 and a half mintues--2.5/not 25 minutes.
The Presto Power Pop works wonders with Orville Redenbacher popcorn. We cut calories by spraying a little Pam on the popped kernels and adding butter flavored salt.
You'll have to experiment a little with timing of your microwave. We listen to it carefully and stop the microwave the second the rate of popping slows below one second per pop. Be sure to use the concentrater in the bottom. And replace it when it gets brown. Enjoy the best and healthiest popcorn with the least trouble you can imagine.

(More customer reviews)This is absolutely a marvelous product. I already have a foodsaver that I liked what it could do, but it was so ackward to use. It laid flat on the table and as I positioned the bag, I had to try to keep the bag steady with my left hand, while, with my right hand, pulled down the locking handle on the right side of the machine to hold the bag in place to seal. Then, I always found myself leaning slighty over the machine trying to see the control lights so I would know what settings I needed to turn to: dry/moist,etc. But now, I have the best. This machine stands upright, all controls are in plain sight, it holds it's own bags, has it's own cutter for sizing new bags and one to cut them open. My first use was with a already made bag. (I reuse my bags by washing them with hot soapy water, and drying them. (I have plenty of new bags and rolls too.) You have to make sure you use them a little larger than you need to keep using them again.)After I filled the bag with food and gently guided it through the front of the machine, the machine detected the bag and began an automative process of vacuuming and sealing and then shuting off and released the bag to be taking out. I said "Oh, alright now. You are so smart. And what a blessing you are to have in my home." I love smart technology. It made me think of some of the things Bill Gates probably has in his smart technology home. If you following the directions carefully, you won't go wrong. One thing I had to do, on some bags, is trim off the edges from some of the bags I reused because they began to have a little curl on the edge of them and wouldn't thread into the machine easily. I still haven't used all the features of it yet, nor the canisters that came with it. But oh, what fun those things will be too. I enjoy this foodsaver, and highly recommend it. It will stop freezer burn, save you money on groceries by buying bulk and keep foods fresh. Thanks. God bless.... This foodsaver is part of the 3400 series

(More customer reviews)We make home made pizza every Friday and over time I've tweaked the original dough recipe to make it a little healthier. That involves substituting EVOO with water. The pizza turns out just great, however it has a tendency to stick to my pizza pan. Parchment paper does the trick and it works perfect. What I like about parchment paper is that I can take the pizza out of the oven, cut it on the pizza pan and slide it directly on the plate. It's like having a pizza peel. I trash the parchment paper and the pizza pan goes in the dish washer. No mess, no spills, no cleaning. I gave this pizza mat a try especially because I wanted to invest in something that would save me $ in parchment paper in the long run. The pizza baked well, not better nor particularly worse than on parchment paper (I'll get to that in a second). However the silicone material does not allow for and easy sliding of the pizza to the plate. I might end up figuring a way to make it work, but for now that is the main reason I'm rating this a 3 star.
I also noticed that since the holes on the pizza mat do not overlap the holes on my pizza pan, you end up having areas of the pan with less air flow and that results in a slightly uneven texture of the pizza.

(More customer reviews)I really want to like this, because of the insert. It really does work, since the unpopped kernels fall through the grate so they don't end up in your mouth. Great idea.
But the red coloring isn't colorsafe. After one use, you find your hands stained with a pinkish red wherever you touch it. Ended up being a waste.
