Edward St. John Gorey (February 22, 1925 - April 15, 2000) was an American writer and artist. The Gashlycrumb Tinies is an abecedarian book written by Gorey that was first published in 1963. Gorey tells the tale of 26 children (each representing a letter of the alphabet) and their untimely deaths in rhyming dactylic couplets, accompanied by the author's distinctive black and white illustrations.

(More customer reviews)I thought this would be a poster, like any other poster I have ever bought for under $20. No, this is one of the poorest quality reproductions I have ever seen. The poster has 1 inch thick pink vertical lines across the whole thing. It looks like the printer they are using is running out of ink. I complained about it and they said there was nothing wrong with it. This is the second poster I bought from this company and that one was piss poor as well. They must have a blind person who doesn't know squat about print quality and color corrections sitting at the printer. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTIHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!! If they think this type of quality is good work then they deserve to go out of business. Nuff said!

(More customer reviews)I was really excited to receive this print, but unfortunately the description is incorrect. This poster does not measure 11x17 inches. It is actually larger than that. I suppose some people wouldn't see this as a problem, but I purchase a frame specifically for this print and cannot use it because the print is too large.
I considered cutting the poster, but I'd have to cut off so much that I'd lose half of the first and last letters on each line and a lot of detail on the top and bottom. This is unacceptable. In addition, the print quality is not good. It looks ok in the shiny plastic sleeve they mail it in, but when you pull it out it looks like it was printed off of someone's ink-jet printer at home. The print is not glossy and the pigmentation is not even.
I have returned this item, but am unfortunately left with a frame that I cannot return or use as a result of this incorrect product description.
