(More customer reviews)The 3D poster series is a must have McFarlane fans...especially if you are looking for something other than the action figures. This Alien poster is unique and a great conversation piece. However, it does have a couple of downfalls. Although very cool and tempting to leave on for a while, the light bulb burns out VERY quickly...I probably had it off and on for a total of a couple of hours. McFarlane Toys customer service verified with me that it is a problem. To replace the bulb, the egg must be pulled off from the poster. In my case, I had to pull it and work at it with so much force that I thought I might break it. My advice: Unless you want to change the bulb constantly and run the risk of breaking the product, only turn on the light for a very short amount of time (i.e. just to show people the cool effect). Otherwise a great product by McFarlane!

Oftentimes, one might associate an egg innocuously with chickens or with breakfast, or maybe cake batter, or even Easter. Hey, you know what they say, canât make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. I tell yaâ, I feel like Iâm walking on eggshells around here. The last thing you want to do is kill the goose that lays the golden egg. Hey, donât put all your eggs in one basket. Now, try to picture that same innocuous egg set against a solid black background. The lower half of the egg is cracked with a V-shaped rift, giving vent to vaporous green light above a shadowy half-glimpse of grid work. This imagery, prime for the sculpted 3-D poster effect, is the simple imagery of Alien. This egg is the kind of gift that the Easter Bunny would only reserve for those who really, really, really pissed him off the previous year. First comes the Facehugger, then comes the Chestburster, then comes the Alien Warrior. Look beyond the cracked egg and the green glow and picture slime and ichor spilling down along sleek plates of half-opaque black carapace, or cosmic snot dribbling from the long metallic teeth. Picture a lot of screaming and a lot of running. Envision dark corridors and tangling rafters. One insignificant crew trapped on a vessel in the outer bunghole of space with one of the most malignant monsters of all times.
